How Long Are You Going To Stay At This Mountain | Part 2

Last week, we looked at some of the mountains that we have stayed at too long. This week, I want to look at “how to take the journey” away from those mountains.

2. How do I turn and take my journey?  Verse 7 says: Turn and take your journey, and go…..

Turn = away, aside, turn your back

We can and should be asking the Holy Spirit for His direction about what He wants you to do

You can’t take my journey and I can’t take yours, but we can act (by faith) and change what we expect.

We need to believe in God’s goodness toward us more than we believe the devil’s badness.

v.7 also means, to pull up the tent pins (the stakes), get away, go forth, forward.

To pull out, or pull up, to set out, depart. To be pulled up, be removed, be plucked up – Do these definitions remind you of any scriptures? Mark 11:23 and Luke 17:6

v.8 When the Lord said “See” I have set the land before you, He’s telling us it’s already ours.  We have to ask for help to “see” our situation as He sees it, not in our current situation.  Something has to change inwardly to get us expecting something different than what we see with our natural eyes. He told them to go in and Dispossess their enemies. let’s take a look at how to do that.

Deuteronomy 2:12,21 & 24

v.12 The Horites formerly dwelt in Seir, but the descendants of Esau dispossessed them and destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their [a]place, just as Israel did to the land of their possession which the Lord gave them.)

v.21 a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. But the Lord destroyed them before them, and they dispossessed them and dwelt in their place,

Dispossess – to deprive (another) of the possession or occupancy of something, such as real property.

How do we dispossess pain and sickness?  We can’t physically fight them, but Jesus told us how to move a mountain and how to pluck up and remove something.  Mark 11:23 and Luke 17:6

We fight the battle with faith in what Jesus has already accomplished, and remember, the victory is already assured. They still had to contend and engage the enemy in battle.   2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ and make manifest the savor of His knowledge by us in every place.

Your Heavenly Father knows all about the journey you are on. He never leaves you or forsakes you. Trust and believe His Word to you and know you possess everything He bought and paid for at the cross!

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
