How Long Are You Going To Stay At This Mountain?

Happy Monday Morning ! Today, we are going to hear some great things from the Holy Spirit in us. The title of this message is a good question to ask ourselves.

Deuteronomy 1:6-8

The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring places in the [a]plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates. See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord [b]swore to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—to give to them and their descendants after them.’

Some questions to ask ourselves: in verse 6.

  • What mountain have I dwelt at long enough? How long have I lived here in
  • Sickness
  • Fear
  • Inaction
  • Unbelief
  • Lack
  • Complacency
  • Natural thinking
  • Anger/bitterness

God knew they were staying at the mountain too long, so He told them, “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain”. If you are a parent, then you have had to encourage and even prod your kids to move forward in there lives, you’ve told them they need to mature and grow. Our Father is telling us it’s time to move on.

He sent Jesus to pay for everything in the above list so we can walk in His victory and exchange them for what He has already given us. We have the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead living in our new creation spirits so we can enforce what belongs to us and not to allow these things to stay in our lives or the lives of our family.

the Good News is that He tells us how to do this. So next Monday we will look at God’s plan for us into the victory we already have in Christ!

Remember, you are Righteous, you are loved, and you are His!
