Looking Away From This Natural Realm
Good Monday Morning Friends! I pray this devotional finds you growing and being rooted in the truth of God’s Word!
Have you ever thought about your eyes and how they see, what they see? Thank God we have them so we can see all of God’s beauty, nature and wonders around us.
Regrettably, we also see other things, like sickness, pain, destruction, etc. but this is why we are commanded in Hebrews 12:2 to turn away from this natural realm and put our full focus and attention on Him. It’s only when we are looking at Jesus and what is eternal that we see what is real in the spirit realm to bring to manifestation in this earthly realm.
Hebrews 12:2 TPT We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.
Let’s use our spiritual eyes to see what God sees. He is calling us to Himself where He has every answer for us. You see, He knows what happens to us when we get our “eyes” on this realm and only what our natural eyes see, He is calling us to an expectation of His faith that only He can provide.
There is a word in this verse that I want us to look at “expectation”. What should we expect from our Savior, our Healer? He gives us the answer, and it is Jesus who both birthed faith in us and who will perfect or finish our faith! I don’t know about you, but I want to live by the “faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”.
Expectation – the act of looking forward with anticipation, it is a confident trust in His divine promises. You and I don’t have to make God’s promises work, He made them, and He will fulfill them. Our part is to keep our focus and attention on what He has done, and in childlike faith believe He loves us more than we know.
Galatians 2:20 –
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
We are to live in fellowship with Him and as we do, He is faithful for whatever you need. Take time in true fellowship with the Son, Jesus and you will hear His truth in your heart!
1 Corinthians 1:9 – God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Prayer: Father, I pray our hearts to open up to the truth that we have the faith of Jesus to lean on and to believe with. Let us see your expectation for us as your children, where you only give “good gifts” to us in Jesus’ name!
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
Danke liebe Colleen für Gottes Wort. Ich hoffe dir geht es von der Stimme her wieder besser und ihr seid alle ja wieder gut in USA von der Celtic Tour zurückgekommen.
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland.

Thank you for another great message. Have a blessed day!
Thank you my dear Colleen. What a blessing to receive these Monday morning devotionals. They always seem to know what I need. Love you and David
Thank you! I needed this encouraging word today. Physical symptoms have cropped up and I’m so used to ‘taking things into my hands’ but I’m now learning to let God handle and to listen to His voice in the midst of it all. Sometimes I find it easy to hand off to God and then other times I find I’ve gone down the path of worry, anxiety, problem solving, you name it but God is always welcoming me back when I realize I’ve strayed off the path and I let go and let Him be the focus. Thank you Abba!
Thank you Colleen for reminding us to keep our expectation based on the finished work of Jesus and all He has provided for us, now and forever!❤️
