Good Monday Morning Friends,
Did you know that your words carry “supernatural power”? They do. The power of words releases all kinds of things in our lives; It can release anger, anxiety, fear, sickness,……. OR it can release love, peace, faith, healing and health! Here’s what Jesus Said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Pretty powerful, isn’t it.
Many believers pray for healing but then speak sickness and death over their bodies and don’t even realize what’s happening. Let’s look at 2 Kings 4: 18-37 (please go and read it for yourself, it’s too long to add it here).
The Shunamite woman didn’t panic when her son died – she ran to the man of God and declared victory before anything was said about the actual circumstance she was faced with.
She refused to agree with death because she knew God’s Word was truer than her circumstances.
Joel 3:10 says “Let the weak say, I am strong!
- Let the sick say “I am healed”
- let the one in lack say “I am provided for”
- Let the fear-filled say, “Fear doesn’t belong to me, I am a child of God”!
Here are some truths form God’s Word to think about and to act on in y our life.
- Your confession shapes your reality
- Let the sick say “I am healed”
- let the one in lack say “I am provided for”
- Let the fear-filled say, “Fear doesn’t belong to me, I am a child of God”!
- God’s Word is medicine to your flesh (yes, all of it)
- The enemy wants you obsessed with what’s going on right now, if it’s symptoms, that’s all he wants you to think about. In so many places the Word tells us we are healed – Psalm 103:3 – Proverbs 4:22. Your body will respond to the Word of God when we stop rehearsing the sickness in our minds and just simply declare, say what God says about your situation. You don’t have to work it up, He has already given you His Words to speak into your situation!
- Your tongue is a weapon, use it wisely
- Jesus warned us that evil words come from an evil heart. Matthew 12:34. If you’re constantly agreeing with the enemy; “I’m so sick”, I will never be better”, I just can’t do this”, it’s not working”, what do we think it will produce in our lives? Instead, Bless your body, Bless your mind, Bless your family, Bless your finances, Bless your circumstances and see that that will produce!
- Faith-filled words create a healing atmosphere
- The Psalmist didn’t wait for rescue before praising God and declaring who He is. Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God in Him I will trust.” Your confession of faith doesn’t just change you; it shifts the spiritual atmosphere around you and in you.
- Stop cursing your body, instead declare and command healing and health.
- Just like I mentioned in #3 above, if you keep saying things like this, you are the one prophesying destruction over yourself and over the circumstances, instead prophesy what Proverbs 15:4 says “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life”
- Your body hears everything you say so stop agreeing with the thing and start declaring wholeness in your situation.
Finally, I want to say that I have done every single one of these points in the wrongly, and yet, God’s Grace was more than enough to teach me how to do it His Way! It wasn’t always easy, it wasn’t always a walk in the park, it took effort, it took diligence, and it took time to learn to believe things that I could not see, and God gets all the Glory because without Him I could not of walked in all that He has for me. It’s the same for YOU!
God forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 – so start agreeing with Him today.
Prayer: Father I repent for all the negative things I have said about myself or this situation, from now on, I will declare what you say about me. I speak healing over my body, I speak the Victory over my situation and thank you for what you have already done through Christ on my behalf in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous and you are His!
