Redemption For Your Soul!

What a great morning it is! God has given us another day be to here on this earth and make a difference. We are light in a dark world. I love talking about “redemption”, without it, we would not know Christ, we would not be changed, and we would not be going to heaven.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Griefs – malady, anxiety, calamity:—disease, grief, (is) sick(-ness). Sorrows – anguish or (figuratively) affliction:—grief, pain (both physical and mental), sorrow. Chastisement for our peace – reproof, warning or instruction; also restraint:—bond, chastening(-eth), chastisement, check, correction, discipline, doctrine, instruction, rebuke.

All of the above are issues that have to do with the mind, will, emotions, and the body. Jesus paid for it all. Salvation is a gift that includes everything we see in Isaiah as he prophesied of the coming Messiah.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Colossians 1:13-14 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins

So we see that Jesus bought our redemption through His blood and every sin is now gone, cancelled and taken out of the way. Jesus was also wounded and those wounds (stripes) were for the healing of our bodies.

Now, for our souls, we are the ones who has the responsibility to renew and reprogram our minds with the Word of God which will renew and reprogram our emotions also.

Romans 12:2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Ephesians 4:23-24. 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Philippians 4:6-8. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Think On These Things!

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Psalm 23: 2-3a. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;

When Christ came to redeem us, it was for the whole man. He came to give us freedom – spirit, soul, and body. In Psalm 23 we are told that He restores our soul and He did it at the new birth, He intended for your mind, and emotions to be jsut as healed and whole as everything else in your life. Believe it today and apply these truths to see the restoration of your soul just like He promised.

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
