Good Monday morning. 2 weeks ago, I said that I would continue this teaching. Well, here it is. Let’s go back to our foundation scripture; Romans 5:5 –
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
This verse starts out with now “hope” does not disappoint. What is hope? It is a confident/positive expectation of good. To anticipate, usually with pleasure. A joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation! This is so profound, that God provides us with such Love (Agape’) that we can have both a confident and positive expectation of His Goodness in our lives always. And remember, this is a gift given to us by the Holy Spirit who lives in you! It was given freely, without works or performance. He just loves you period
This is why I added Ephesians 3:17-19 which reveals where Christ’s love is and what He wants us to understand about this almost too good to be true love that He has for us and what is in us. It’s amazing to me that in v.19 the Holy Spirit says we can KNOW the love of Christ so that we can be filled with all the “fullness of God”! I don’t know about you, but I want to know that. This is something we can ask the Holy Spirit to give us revelation in. This is way more powerful than most of us have given thought to.
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
When you know you’re loved, it changes everything! It changes you, it changes the situations and circumstances around you, it can change the very environment you are in right now. How does this change you? Because it changes your relationship with the One who died for you, Who gave all for you. He exchanged your life for HIS LIFE. Everything He died for and was victorious in, now is in you and belongs to you as His dear children.
Get “His Hope”, this positive expectation of good in your heart and mind and go live the life that He died to give you. Let it change your heart, your emotions, your family, your friends, your job, your ministry! It’s already in you, so let it become so real to you that nothing else is as real in your life. to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
