The Bible talks about the Kingdom of God is like…… then it goes on to give us many examples of what it is like:
- A Sower who sows seed
- A Dealer of fine purple and precious pearls
- King who gave a wedding
- Leaven
- Is Righteousness, Peace and Joy
- A Grain of mustard seed
I want to talk about this “Ever Present Kingdom of God” that lives in us and surrounds us. What benefits are there by being in a Kingdom? (Prosperity, protection, provision and covenant rights). These benefits apply to you wherever you are.
Jesus was preaching in a Synagogue about the Kingdom of God when he saw a man with a withered hand. Jesus saw things differently and He wants us to see them like he does. He saw the invisible Kingdom of God was right there, ever present in any situation with the supply He needed.
This Kingdom has a superabundant supply of whatever we need. If you were in the same synagogue as the man with the withered hand (Luke 6:6-11), how would you see him, and what do you think you would say to him?
When Jesus saw the man, He saw that man’s hand completely whole when He said stretch forth your hand and what He saw happened. We need to see more than the visible, the tangible and the temporary, which seems so real to us.
Jesus told us in Luke 2:32 It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. It pleased our Father to give us the Kingdom He lives in; we are now citizens of Heaven. We have a right and a privilege to operate in this Kingdom like Jesus did.
I want you to see this in Luke 17:20 & 21 The Pharisees asked, when the Kingdom of God would come. Jesus answered them by saying, “the Kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display … nor will people say Look! Here it is or, See, it is there. For behold the Kingdom of God is within you (in your hearts) and among you (surrounding you)
You can’t see the KOG with your natural eyes; you can’t feel it with your natural senses, but it is in you and surrounding you.
In God’s Kingdom, there is a never ending, ever-present supply of the Grace of God for whatever the need may be. We obtain this supply through our faith that what we need or what someone else needs are already here where we need it. Our citizenship in this Kingdom gives us the right to take what belongs to us; it’s a normal benefit of this Kingdom.
Healing someone is a “good work”, delivering someone from demonic oppression is a “good work”, etc. Jesus went about doing “good” and healing all that were oppressed of the devil” Acts 10:38
Jesus showed us when Healing was needed, the multitudes were healed, when they were hungry, the multitudes were fed. When they needed money, he knew where it was. When He was being asked trick questions, He pulled on the wisdom in this Kingdom.
Colossians 1:13 We are in the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son. God didn’t just put us in His Kingdom; He pulled us out of the kingdom of darkness. We no longer belong there; it is not our home anymore.
Ephesians 3:19 (amp) is Paul’s prayer for us ……that we may be filled (though all your being) unto all the fullness of God, that you (may have the richest measure of the Divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself).
3 things I want to close with:
- See with your spiritual eyes
- Be aware of the ever-present Kingdom of God that’s in you
- Don’t ever give up on what has been promised to you.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
