They Did Not Know That I Healed Them

Today, let’s look at a couple of verses in the book of Hosea 11:3-4.

3 Yet it is I who taught Ephraim to walk,
Taking them in My arms [nurturing the young nation];
But they did not know that I healed them.

(v.3 “…But did not know that I healed them” in the Hebrew = to mend, to cure, heal, physician, repair and thoroughly make whole)

 4 I led them gently with cords of a man, with bonds of love [guiding them],
And I was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke [of the law] over their jaws;
And I bent down to them and fed them. AMP

What I would like for you to notice here is specifically the last part of v.3 is it says, “they did not know that God healed them”.  There are so many things that Jesus has already done for us and God is reminding them, that He healed them, but they had not taken the time to know it. 

Then in v.4 He paints the picture of a loving Father bending down to lift up and off of you a yoke of bondage that is weighing us down (whatever it is that’s coming against you),  now imagine with me, there is something around your neck and you can’t get it off, He leans down and gently with care begins to lift it off and is even so careful to not hurt you as He lifts it “over the jaw” or your face and head. 

When He removes it, it didn’t hurt, you didn’t have to do it yourself, you just received what He has already done for you.  But I love this next part, He bends down and feeds you.  In other words, He doesn’t leave you, He wants to strengthen you and see you completely whole. 

Today, see your Heavenly Father who, through Jesus has already removed the yoke of bondage from off your neck, your heart, your body, your finances, and has already healed you and is now strengthening you. 

Prayer:

Father, help us to see you for who you are, a True Father, who loves His children and is always there to remind us that we are already free and help us to see it and walk in that love and freedom.

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
