God Likes Faith!

Did you know that God likes Faith! He is a faith God.  Faith is simply seeing things from God’s perspective.  We find this perspective in His word.

It’s the seed (Word) that produces the fruit in our hearts! It’s the Word that brings forth the results! Did you know that God puts faith into His Word?  This is why we must hear His word.

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

Believing is having confidence in what Jesus has already done.  The burden of deliverance is not on me or on you, it is already done! We just need to believe it.

Here is one example of this.  Romans 4:17-21 this is in a couple of different versions of the bible, and I am paraphrasing some of these.

This is Abraham’s faith in what God said He already was!

  • He believed that God gives life to the dead (things that are, or seem to be dead)
  • He believed that God calls those things that “be not” (in the natural world they look like they don’t exist) as though they were – (because they do exist in the realm of the spirit) these things exist in you and me, in our spirit, who is the real us.
  • He took God at His word, and the result was “God’s declaration over him came to pass, just as He called it”
  • Abraham did not consider his own body, nor Sarah’s body, he did not waiver, he never stopped believing.  (Once he was fully persuaded and convinced)
  • He believed that God gave life to the deadness of Sarah’s womb.  He believed that God gave life to his (Abrahams) body to produce the seed to Sarah.
  • He was convinced that what God had promised, He was able to perform, (to fulfill His promises)
  • Abraham glorified, praised God which strengthened His faith. He did this way before he saw the promise come to pass, but since he believed God, he began thanking Him for it already.
  • V.20 he did not decide against God’s promises (in other words, he completely agreed with God’s promise) CJB – The Complete Jewish Bible
    • When your Father shows you a promise in the Word, believe it, agree with it, don’t decide against what He says about you!  If you don’t understand it, pray Eph. 1:17-18.
  • V. 21 he was fully assured, satisfied, convinced that what God promises He is mighty to keep His Word, to accomplish it.
  • This reminds me of Isaiah 55:11 – Judge God faithful, because He is and always will be.
    • Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void, (empty, without fruit)
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Next week we will continue the topic of Faith.  I don’t believe we could ever exhaust understanding about faith since God is a faith God, and we will never exhaust His vast understanding!

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
