Don’t Get Caught In A Trap

Happy Monday Morning!  It’s going to be a wonderful day.  Anytime we start our day with His Word, we have the opportunity to hear from Him.  How amazing is that?

I love what we are going to talk about today, because of how God took pro-active measures to show us we don’t ever have to get caught in the enemy’s traps.  John 10:10 tells us who comes to steal, kill, and destroy and Who comes to give us Life and Life more abundantly.  The two have not changed job descriptions. The enemy wants to trap us into many things, bondages, sadness, sickness, depression, oppression, lies, etc.

But now, let’s go to the Good News.  What has our Father, God already done for you and me to always be a step ahead.

Psalm 91:3-4. He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and He will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse.  His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you.  You can run under His covering of majesty and hide.  His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.

Why does the enemy want to trap us?  Because he knows that our focus will be on the situation and hopefully will turn us away from believing what Jesus has already done for us and thereby keeping us in fear instead of trust/faith in God’s Word and keeping us snared in his trap.  But God….. already knew what the enemy would try to do and has given us Great and Precious promises to deliver us.  2 Peter 1:4

Proverbs 29:25 (TPT)Fear and intimidation is a trap that holds you back.  But when you place your confidence in the Lord, you will be seated in the high place.   (that would be in His Presence).

Proverbs 29:25 (NKJ) The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

Proverbs 3:26 For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.

Let me end today with this; Psalms 124:7-8 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

This scripture states that we “have” escaped already, and the snare is broken.  Meditate on these this week and the Holy Spirit will show you what to do in whatever situation or circumstance you might find yourself in.  Listen for Him and He will be faithful to show you your escape into the freedom that Christ already paid for.

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
