Benefits of Trusting Him!

Good morning my friends. I believe this is what the Lord wants to say this Monday Morning. As you read the verses in Proverbs 3 be honest with yourself as to whether you are trusting in what you know or trusting in what He knows. Take time to let these verses sink into your heart today!

Let’s read Proverbs 3:5-8, 13-18 NLT

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
    do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
    and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
    Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body
    and strength for your bones.

13 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
    the one who gains understanding.
14 For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
    and her wages are better than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
    nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 She offers you long life in her right hand,
    and riches and honor in her left.
17 She will guide you down delightful paths;
    all her ways are satisfying.
18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
    happy are those who hold her tightly.

It seems that the universal message in these verses is to Trust in the Lord and not in ourselves and to seek after His Wisdom.  Let’s break this down some;  He starts out by telling us to trust in Him with “all” our heart and not to depend on ourselves and if we will seek Him and His will in all we do, and don’t be impressed with our own wisdom (only what we think or the answers we come up with), but reverence Him and His Wisdom that it will produce health to our bodies, and strength to our bones, and all that is attached to those bones.

Stay with me here.  Look at all the benefits of trusting in Him and His Wisdom:

  • You’ll have joy
  • It’s more profitable than silver or gold
  • It’s more precious than precious jewels
  • It brings you long life and riches and honor
  • His wisdom will take you down delightful paths
  • You will always be satisfied
  • It’s a tree of life (your roots will be deep and watered to produce whatever it is you need)
  • You will be happy

James 1:5 tells us that if we lack wisdom, all we have to do is ask for it.  Ask Him today for wisdom in your situation and circumstance and believe He has given it to you and stop trying to figure it all out on your own.

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
