Enlighten My Darkness

Good Monday morning!   It’s October already and I’m noticing that the days are getting shorter, which means it’s getting darker sooner.  I am reminded of John 8:12 Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life”.

No matter if the world is getting darker sooner, we do not walk in darkness.  That is a promise from Jesus, He said it with His own words; whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness!

Here are some reminders for us:

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:5- You are all sons of light and sons of the day.  We are not of the night nor darkness.
  • II Samuel 22:29 – For you are my lamp (light) O lord; The Lord shall enlighten my darkness.
  • Romans 8:2 – For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, has made me free from the law of sin and death.

If there is an area or areas where you feel like you are still waking in darkness, know that you are a son (that’s your position) of the day and light.  Thessalonians says that YOU ARE “sons of light and of the day”.  Your spirit is light because the Father of lights is living in you always providing the way for us to see what’s in front of us, what is hindering us, what is trying to cause us to stumble.

Look to Him today, the source of your life and light who will enlighten any darkness.  This word “enlighten” means to glisten, glitter, to lighten, to illuminate, and to cause to shine. When we ask Him to reveal something to us, He will bring light on it, because His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path and we will always find light in His Word to us.

My prayer for you and me is that we always remember who we really are in Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to remind us – For you once were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Walk as children of light.  Ephesians 5:8

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!

  1. I am 73 and on my first healing journey and it’s amazing. The enemy has tried to take me out, but he’s been trespassing and has now been evicted! I love what you said about God knowing the pace we each need to go at. He knows me!

I am in Norman, Oklahoma. Wish I was near Tessa’s church. I figure she’s probably closer to Tulsa.

I loved catching you live tonight, 10/11/22. So good.

    Much love and blessings,
    LaVon Baker
