Good morning friends. We’ve been given another Monday to fellowship with and staying close to Him. Hallelujah!
Today, we are going to look at what God says about you being hidden from danger and protected. I pray you are encouraged by this Word today.
Psalm 91: 1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[In order to be under, or in someone’s shadow, you must be very close to them. Dwelling in the secret place means you are staying close to the Lord in your fellowship and love with Him, clinging to Him. you are dwelling there, not just visiting occasionally]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
[In this verse, “I will say of the Lord” the word “of in Hebrew means “to”. He is telling us to say these promises back to Him. So we say “Lord, You are my refuge, my fortress and in You do I trust.”]
Psalm 91: 3-4 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
[When He says “surely” this is not a maybe or it might be, it means it is for sure, indeed it is. He for sure will deliver you from any trap or plot of the enemy. But He goes on to say also He will deliver you from the perilous pestilence. What does this mean? Anything rushing against you, to bring you to ruin, or any wickedness ,He will deliver you from any plague and disease. You can trust His promise to you!]
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.
[He will fence you in, stop the approach of the enemy by being underneath (not out in the open) of His wings, and He says you will take refuge, put your trust in God, flee for protection under His wings and hope in God.]
Today, you don’t need to wonder if God will protect you and hide you from anything rushing against you. Let me leave you with this – Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
Amen! Thank you for this.
