But You, Oh Lord, Are a Shield Around Me

Joyful Monday friends.

As I was reading Psalms 3, I was reminded that no matter how many in this world rise up against us to try to trouble us and say, “there is no help for him in God”, do not know the God who lives in us.

Psalm 3: 3-4
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Think about this; in TPT is says – You have become my shield; You take me and surround me with Yourself.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that God cannot help in your situation.  David is reminding us in this Psalm, that as we cry out, He sends us a Father’s help and His help is so thorough that he goes on to say.

Vs.5 so now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby – then I’ll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory.

God’s shield is Himself!  He is not only surrounding you, protecting you, but He lives inside you, so much so, you will sleep like a baby knowing He’s got this situation, and He’s got you.  You are never without Him.

Whatever your situation, He is your Savior, your glory, and the lifter of your head to see above it and know that God’s glory, Himself, surrounds you.

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
