I’m so glad to see you all back here at Monday Morning Ministries for part 2 of Transformed and Restored.
Today, I am going to continue with a few more verses from Psalm 19. So good!
Psalm 19:7b
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
Last week we looked at the first part of this verse, now here is the second part. This is telling us that if we have not been thinking right, if we have made some really bad choices and decisions in life, that His Word will make us wise. Yes, and Amen to that!
So, we see here that the testimony (Word of) of the Lord is sure, what does sure mean?
Confirm, faithful, (of long continuance) uphold, nourish, made firm, lasting, verified, reliable trusty, to be true or certain.
And it will make us wise in mind, word, or act. This is such good news. God has promised He will convert (turn back to an original condition) our soul and make us wise with faithful, nourished lasting and reliable wisdom even when we have been silly, foolish and or simple in our decisions. Think about this, when we are not thinking correctly and making mistakes, His Word will make you wise! Praise God
Psalm 19:10
More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
God’s Word is worth far more than gold, (money) it’s better than honey (something so sweet that it is desired greatly). When we see His Word as more important than anything, then, anything is possible. We will be able to say the same thing as Job.
Job 23:12
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth
More than my necessary food.
As we take God at His Word, our lives will be transformed and restored and it will be worth so much more than anything this world can offer, and the promises will manifest in our life, i.e., salvation, healing, health, provision, emotional health, and faithful relationships. Center your life around His beautiful Word, meditate on it and allow this Word to be planted, watered, and harvested in your life.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His
