✝️ Know Who You Are Trusting In!

Before you face what this week holds, remember who you are Trusting and who holds you.

There may be moments this week when you feel overwhelmed. Moments when you’re not sure what to do. Moments when you need provision, peace, healing, strength, or simply the assurance that you are not alone.

And if those moments come, don’t just remember what God can do, Remember who He is.

The names of God reveal His character. Each name gives us another glimpse of His heart, His power, His faithfulness, and His care for us.

So, as we begin this week, let’s remind ourselves of the God we serve.

Elohim — The Creator, Mighty and Strong

  • When everything around you feels uncertain, remember Elohim.
  • He is the Creator—the mighty and strong God who spoke the world into existence.
  • The same God who created everything is still sovereign over your circumstances.
  • Your problem may be bigger than you, but it is never bigger than Elohim.
  • You can face this week with confidence because the Creator is with you.

El Elyon — The Most High

  • There are things in life that may seem to have authority over you—fear, circumstances, people, finances, uncertainty, or the unknown.
  • But there is One who is higher than them all.
  • El Elyon is the Most High.
  • No power is above Him. No circumstance or situation has the final word when God speaks His Truth.
  • When fear says, “This is too much,” remember:
  • God is higher.

El Shaddai — God Almighty, All-Sufficient

  • Perhaps one of the most powerful truths about God is that He is more than enough.
  • El Shaddai means God Almighty, the All-Sufficient One.
  • In Genesis 17:1, God revealed Himself as El Shaddai to Abraham when Abraham was 99 years old.
  • What a reminder that God’s ability does not depend on our age, our strength, our resources, or our circumstances.
  • Abraham’s situation looked impossible—but God was sufficient.
  • And He is still sufficient today.
  • You may not have everything you need, but you have access to the One who is everything you need.

El-Roi — The God Who Sees

  • You don’t have to wonder if anyone truly sees what you’re going through, because God does.
  • El-Roi is the God who sees.
  • He sees the tears nobody else sees.
He sees the battles you don’t talk about.
He sees the prayers you haven’t been able to put into words.
    He sees your heart.
  • And He doesn’t simply observe from a distance.
  • The God who sees you cares about you.
  • You are never overlooked by Him.

Jehovah-Shammah — The Lord Is There

  • You don’t have to feel like you are alone, because you’re not.
  • You may walk into a difficult conversation, face an unexpected challenge, or find yourself in a season you never anticipated.
  • But you won’t walk into it alone.
  • Jehovah-Shammah means, “The Lord is There.”
  • God’s presence isn’t limited by geography, circumstances, or emotions.
  • Wherever you go this week, He is there.
  • When you don’t know what to say, He is there.
When you don’t know what to do, He is there.

Jehovah-Rapha — The Lord Who Heals

  • We all need healing in different ways—physically, emotionally, mentally, and relationally..
  • God is the healer and restorer.
  • And we see the ultimate fulfillment of God’s redemptive work through Christ and His work at the cross.
  • Your brokenness does not frighten God.
  • He is not intimidated by the places in your life that need restoration.
  • Bring them to Him and learn to walk in what already belongs to you.

Jehovah-Shalom — The Lord Our Peace

  • Peace can feel impossible when life is chaotic.
  • But biblical peace isn’t the absence of trouble. It is the presence of God in the middle of trouble.
  • Jehovah-Shalom means the Lord our Peace.
  • When anxiety rises, remember who He is.
  • When circumstances try to shake you, remember who holds you.
  • When your mind is racing, turn your attention back to the One who can give you peace that surpasses understanding.
  • Your circumstances don’t have to be peaceful for your heart to have peace.

Jehovah-Jireh — The Lord Will Provide

  • Finally, remember Jehovah-Jireh—the Lord will provide.
  • God sees what you need. He knows what is coming before you ever arrive there.
  • He is not surprised by tomorrow.
  • His provision may not always come in the way or timing we expect, but He is faithful to care for His children.
  • So don’t let tomorrow steal today’s peace.
  • The God who will meet you tomorrow is already there.

Let these truths of who God is point us ultimately to Jesus Christ, in whom we see God’s power, presence, provision, peace, healing, and salvation revealed. So, as you step into this new week, don’t focus only on what you are facing.

Focus on who is facing it with you.

Your circumstances may change.
Your plans may change.
People may change.
Your emotions may change.

But God does not change.

Whatever this week brings, you don’t have to carry it alone.

You know His name now. And when you know who He is, you can trust Him with whatever comes next.

“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” — Ephesians 6:10

Walk into this week knowing this: You are Loved. You are Righteous. You are His.

And the God who is mighty, sovereign, sufficient, attentive, present, healing, peaceful, and providing is walking with you every step of the way. Have a blessed and victorious week!
