Blessed Monday Morning Friends. Today, I want to look at what Paul, the Apostle told a large group of believers that he had been teaching for 3 solid years.
This is what he said in Acts 20:31 “This is why I tell you to keep on the alert, remembering that for three years I never failed night and day to warn every one of you, even with tears in my eyes.” The next verse is so powerful, because he knew that wolves would come to try and snatch away the Grace Word in their hearts to bring them back under bondage to move them away from the truth.
You and I have a rightful inheritance through this beautiful Grace Word that God has given, and Paul cautions us to guard and not let go of what Christ’s blood paid for.
Acts 20:32 – AMP And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers].
This verse is for us as well. We are commended (committed, dedicated) to God and to the Word of His Grace! This is God’s will for us; to be built up and to walk in our rightful inheritance for all of us who have been set apart for His destiny for us.
We have been placed in His protective and loving care and oh how this should bring such peace to us!
Look at 2 Timothy 3:16 TPT – God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.
Did you get that? God’s very substance is in every Word of Grace He speaks to us, as it is God-breathed into us! It will empower us and lead us in the right direction, and I love this; it will lead you deeper into the path of godliness.
Ephesians 1:11-14 – 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
13 In Him you also trusted, (this is the Word of His Grace) the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
As you meditate on the devotional this week, know that whatever it is that is challenging you, God has grace for that situation, and it will be found in His Word to you for that challenge. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you where the Word of Grace is found for you. In our last verse, we can be confident that He is will do this, because it was Jesus that brought you “grace and truth” to free you from your situation.
John 1:16 – And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
