Spiritual Awakening Brings New Life!

Good morning friends.  It’s Monday  and I’m so glad you are joining me!

We recently watched a movie called “The Jesus Revolution”.  The story is about how the hippies of that time were getting saved, baptized in water, filled with the Holy Spirt and healed of so much brokenness that they had experience through drugs and lies they had been told by the culture of that day.   There’s much more to the movie, and I would encourage you to watch it. 

I think what spoke to me the most in this movie was I was remembering the moment that I got saved.   Everything in my life had changed from the inside out.  I knew I was a new creation even thought I did not understand it.

2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP – ¹⁷ Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

I was watching how these young and older people were finding out about Christ, and they were surrendering everything to Christ.  Turning their hearts from darkness to light. 

Acts 26:18 NKJ – to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Acts 26:18 TPT – And you will open their eyes to their true condition, so that they may turn from darkness to the Light and from the power of Satan to the power of God. By placing their faith in me they will receive the total forgiveness of sins and be made holy, taking hold of the inheritance that I give to my children !’

You and I are now New Creations in Christ, and our hearts have been  turned from darkness to the Light through our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior.  Read the verse above again,  we were turned also from the power of satan to the “Power of God”!   We have been delivered from everything that the devil had over us, and now the very Power of God is at work in our lives in every way, every day. 

Colossians 1:12-14 NKJ – ¹² giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. ¹³ He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption ^[d]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

I would encourage you today to go back in your memory and heart to the day when your life changed forever and let this be an “anchor” in your heart !  That joy and lightness that you experienced is still in you.   You are right now a “saint in the light” and delivered out of darkness and are positioned in the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son. 

 Whatever is going on in your life, let the Holy Spirit walk you through the very Salvation that forgave your sin, healed your mind, your emotions and your body by “The Power of God” that came alive and awakened you to this New Life! 

Remember, you are Loved, you are Righteous, and you are His!
